Bargain Hunter

Bargin Hunters

We have been bargain hunting everywhere and have got so much stuff for the baby it is really starting to sink in that he or she will be coming in a few months. I am also very relieved at the amount of money we have spent and saved on buying second hand. I know the most expensive part will be the disposables like nappies, bubble bath and wipes. Clothes will be too but I am hoping we can use heaps of hand me downs.

SO yesterday I went to the second hand baby shop in Modbury and got a change table. It is the most yukky green you have ever seen but it folds up nicely and funnily enough matches the 70’s décor of the house. Cost $20 We have been watching eBay like a hawk and managed to get a cradle with linen for $100. Most of the linen is pink but I think if it ends up being a boy I will give it to friends who are having a girl. The cradle is huge but doesn’t have a mattress and it seems quite hard to find one too. But we will because I am the bargain hunter queen. Through EB trading room I managed to get a Glider which I have always wanted to breastfed in for $75 and came with a free pram. I am so over the moon the glider is so perfect and makes me feel like a real mummy.

So on my quest for bargins today the kids and I were going to go garage sale shopping but instead we ended up going for a play at the playground and walk thru the plaza. I have no idea why but we went to look in pumpkin patch. This store is way too expensive for me but has beautiful baby and maternity clothes. But on sale today I found a stunning dress on sale from $79.99 to $29.99 and due to a lost button got it for $24. I love it so much and it makes me feel so beautiful wearing such a designer dress. Had so much fun hunting...
