Scan #5

Well I went to see Belinda today and am feeling really good so she is happy to continue with current regime. Have been seeing H@H 2nd daily which has been good. Meds have changed now so I am not so tired during the day which is like a god send. I still need my arvo nap but at least I am able to stay awake for most of the day. Due to still see Belinda weekly and Rogan Josh weekly too. Still discussion of induction at 38 weeks but I will wait and see how I feel closer to the time. I kind of hope bub comes before then anyway.

I also rang Linda about the bleeding now for 9 days without the pessary in and requested a scan. I got into the have a scan as soon as I finished with Belinda so no waiting around. Report came back my uterus is shaped really weird, my placenta is nice and high but has a blood spot or something but that shouldn’t make me bleed more an issue at birth. I am pretty sure I had the same with Jake might be something to do with the hemorrhage. Baby is head down - bum up and pushing down on my cervix which could be the irritation. I had a doctor come in and also check the position as he is so low but she recons his weight at the moment SHOULDNT make me dilate but ob will review next week. She took another pictures of his Penis - definitely a boy! Aaron was so impressed the penis was huge! must be a man moment. Also got another profile picture I should start a photo album soon.

Baby EDD changed again to the 5th July – which means I got pregnant the day I got my blood test to confirm. Doctor didn’t seem worried and been told he is just a smaller kid and nothing to worry about. He sits on 10 percentile and has since my first scan so they say as long as he continues on that graph makes no difference, still within normal limits. Estimated weight of 2.8kg (6lber) which seems very small but the doctor said not to worry. His growth plotted over the past 6 scans shows consistent growth. Keeley was 2.98kg so might be his fault. So now wait to see if ob next week and see what they say if they want a cervical scan or not or happy with the baby head making me bleed. Overall baby seemed quite happy in there has lots of fluid to play in just not the best positions cause of the uterus shape. Ob will review next week so until then we keep going.

24 Weeks

Spent Thursday and Monday in hospital again cause of bleeding. Seems the pessary is giving me an irritable uterus which makes it cramp and bleed. Spoke to midwife today and she said my dates go back to the 28th of June cause of the risks of prem labour more time I have the better for bub. This means if I am induced at 37 weeks will be the start of June. But disappointed as I thought we were in safe zone hitting 24 weeks but seems I have a few more days. Picture taken today at 23w5d geez I have grown!

I think my belly is less rounded and more pokey. But my boobs are definately bigger!!

Pessary #???

On Wednesday ended up with my cervix really low and open and bleeding. I called my midwife Linda and asked what I should do. Do I bother going to the hospital or just wait and see. She suggested Put my pessary back in so nothing falls out. 2. Check my urine for a UTI (which I did all ok besides leucocytes at 1 so will push fluids and check tomorrow) 3. Put a pad on and see if blood comes out on the pad. (I was wearing a home made one before out of material and was black) 4. Stay on all 4's try and tilt my cervix back to normal. 5. Take some Metamucil and try and poo normally6. If bleeding keeps going go to hospital after calling her7. Seeing her at 10 am tomorrow for cervix check if tonight goes alright. I put the pessary back in but it kept slipping out so I called the hospital and went in. 2 hours later I was seen and stated I needed to come back in the morning for a new pessary to be put. Told to sit still and not move too much till the next morning

Next day Aaron and I headed in the hospital again and waited again to see the gynecologist who fitted me for a HUGE pessary. Fitted well and baby is fine. He said all was ok. I would need my uterus to be fixed once baby is born and pinned back into the proper position so I don’t get issues in later life.

Unfortunately today pessary came out again. I tried to call the midwife but they haven’t called back yet, not sure what to do. Cervix is open 2 cm easily and I can feel the top of my uterus but the gyny didn’t seem worried. At the moment cervix is nice and high and no bleeding so might let is go for a bit and see what happens.
